I know there are a lot of other card readers out there where the Smart Card with physically fit into the card reader but they won't work with the Smart Cards and Encore.

I picked up an Mako Infineer DT3500 smart card reader since it was the suggested one to use with the software and have no problems reading my card. If you click on the Supplier List, a few of the suppliers carry the reader.
